Castles and Walks in Northumberland

They are making Clifford's Fort more of a feature at the fish quay North Shields
They have removed some old buildings at the fish quay North Shields

A Walk in Hulne Park was impossible as there was a Shooting Party at play on the day
So I took a walk up the footpath along the south side of the wall surrounding the park
This awesome wall was built to surround the Park between 1808 and 1811.
A Gentle stroll back down to the car I parked in Ratten Raw. The Hulne Park walk on another day.

Horsley Tower, Longhorsley, Northumberland (Probably built by the Horsley family in the second half of the 16th C. After 1763, the top floor of the tower was converted into a Roman Catholic chapel, which remained in use until 1841.)
