St Micheal's pant. dates from 1759 The water in this pant had a reputation for exceptionally high quality, and was thought by some to have medicinal qualities. The Olde Cross Inn, The bow window is famous for having a display of dusty bottles. The bottles have not been touched for 150 years. the legend being that to move them is to invite death. The owner of the inn all those years ago died when in the process of tidying them. Alnwick, Northumberland
