Cockle Park farm north of Morpeth is an experimental farm owned by the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. Northumberland.
In the grounds of the Farm stands Cockle Park Tower, there was a large tablet on the east wall with the arms of Ogle and Bertram. The tower has been a poor state of repair for many years and is presently being refurbished, Northumberland.

The memorial stone placed beside the road near the church The has the following inscription, This New stone was set up In the place of an old one by Sr: William Loraine Bart : in 1728 In Memory of Robert Loraine his Ancestor Who was Barbarously Murdered in this place by the Scots in 1483 for his good service to his Country against their thefts and Robberys As he was returning home from the Church Alone Where he had been at his private Devotions. Kirkharle, Northumberland.
In the Church of St. Wilfrids is a memorial to Lancelot " Capability" Brown the famous lanscape gardener (1716 - 1783) who began his career as a gardener on the Kirkharle estate. This present church consecrated in the 14th century, was built on the site of an earlier one of which there is no trace. The name derives from Sir William de Herle. Kirkharle, Northumberland
