The attractive Village of Rennington a few miles north of Alnwick on the way up to Seahouses, Northumberland.

Rock Village

The Village of Rock is a mile or so away from Rennington and its single street has these cottages on one side and an ornamental lake and Norman church on the other. Northumberland.

The Norman church of St. Philip and St. James, restored by Charles Bosanquet, in the early 19th century. Rock, Northumberland.

Rock Hall, now the premises of a successful junior school of that name. Built on the site of earlier wooden structures, Rock Hall consists of a central oblong tower which dates from the late 15th century. Two smaller towers of a later date are attached to it. A large manor house was added by Colonel John Salkeld in the 17th century. Following a fire in 1752 the Hall was restored by Charles Bosanquet in 1809, the architect being John Dobson.
