| Starlight Castle, Seaton Sluice, Northumberland (Built by Sir Francis Delaval in 1750 after accepting a wager that he could not build a home for a lady friend in a day. The name comes from a local legend that it was started when the stars were shining and completed by daylight. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The Sallyport or Wall Knoll Tower, Part of the Town Walls of Newcastle upon Tyne. Built in the early 14th century. The second story was built by The Company of Ships Carpenters in 1716 as a meeting hall. The gate was built on the line of the Roman wall in its stretch from Pons Aelius to Segedunum in modern Wallsend and probably incorporates stones from the Wall. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
